Shetland Golf Club's 18 hole course is conveniently located just a short drive away from Lerwick, making it accessible to both locals and visitors.
The course boasts beautiful views over the coastline and surrounding areas, offering a wonderful viewing experience whilst playing on the second most northernly 18-hole course in Britian.
The course was built in the 1970s during the oil boom at Sullom voe. Trustees first managed to get enough money together to purchase the land and build the course with grant aid. Unpon completion of the course the club sold the land which the course sits on to the Charitable trust to raise funds to build the clubhouse. The club has a 100 year lease with the trust to rent the land for golf. The club still own the land the clubhouse and access road sits on.
We also have a full range of practice facilities, a clubhouse and a bar. For a breathtaking game of golf, do pay us a visit.
